Association
of Indian Universities has organised Inter University
National Essay contest on the topic "Communal Harmony in
Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, Deharadun
Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration has introduced essay competition on the theme of "Communal Harmony and National Integration" for the officer trainees in its Foundation Courses. The NFCH gives awards for the best essays and publishes these essays in the form of monographs.
University Grants Commission,
University Grants Commission (UGC) has agreed to set up a group to work out modalities and frame guidelines for undertaking activities for promoting communal harmony and national integration. The NFCH has nominated one officer on this group. The matter is being pursued with the University Grants Commission.
The
University Grants Commission has also decided that the
UGC-Academic Staff Colleges (ASCs)
should collaborate with the NFCH in developing the reading/study material for
the use of the youth on secularism, social harmony, brotherhood and national
integration. The ASCs will also organise
essay competition on the relevant topics for participant teachers of the
Orientation Programmes and pass on the selected essays to the Secretary,
National Foundation for Communal Harmony, 9th Floor, 'C' Wing, Lok Nayak
Bhawan, Khan Market,
