NFCH, under its programmes named ‘Reach’, ‘Milan’, ‘Samanvaya’ and ‘Cooperation’, undertakes a wide range of activities, either independently or through state administrations, non-governmental organizations, educational and other institutions, etc. with a view to promote and propagate communal harmony and national integration-
The objective of programme ‘Reach’ is to create awareness about communal harmony and national integration through activities such as seminars, workshops, debates, rallies, paintings/slogan/essay writing competitions, music and cultural programmes, etc. Assistance is provided to State/UT Administrations for organizing such activities, either independently or through non-governmental organizations. Presently, the scale of assistance is Rs.2.00 lakh per annum per State/UT.
Assistance is extended to State Governments and UT Administrations for organizing inter-community ‘Milans’ on important festivals like Id, Deepawali, Christmas, etc., preferably through non-governmental organizations. Assistance is limited to reimbursement of expenditure upto 50%, subject to a ceiling of Rs.40,000/- per festival per annum for three such festivals in a State and Rs.20,000/- per festival per annum for three such festivals in a UT.
NFCH associates itself with important inter-community festivals like “Phool- walon-ki-sair”, “Nauchandi festival”, etc., preferably through non-governmental organizations, with a view to promoting better understanding, communal harmony and national integration. Assistance is limited to reimbursement of expenditure upto 50% subject to a ceiling of Rs.20,000/- per festival for two such festivals in a state and one festival in a UT in a year.
Assistance is provided to non-governmental organizations to undertake other activities to promote the objectives of the Foundation.
